A Way Back In

A WAY BACK IN
is a 37 minute short dramatic film (or featurette), written & produced by and starring Holly Anderson, and directed and edited by Brad Mays. It was created over the course of one year, with a modest budget. The film is character-driven, and deals with an issue very seldom depicted onscreen: the very real troubles confronting Federal Agents working in deep cover abroad, most particularly when they return home.

A WAY BACK IN features a very colorful and diverse cast, from television, motion picture and theatre veterans DeLane Mathews and Anthony Thompkins, to former heavyweight boxing champion Lionel “L-Train” Butler. Linda June Larson, Stephen Gaines, Ryan Irons, Shelley Irons, Victor Trevino, Fred “Spike” McQueen, Janine Jordae, Kimber Eastwood, Christopher R. Kaufman, Felix Ryan, Roopashree Jeevaji, and real-life high-security computer wizard, T-Rex round out this lively and extremely talented group.

THE STORY
The fate of a group of government operatives – four women, DisKO, SlipKnot, Bug and HollowPoint; and one man, T-Rex – hangs on their ability to fit back into regular society, after years of U.S. Military spookery on dangerous foreign soil. Having recently returned to the United States where they struggle to re-enter a new and unfamiliar culture, the group inadvertently stumbles upon a pair of demented, home-grown sociopaths , Bird and Bard Osterman, whose mission of destruction and insane self-gratification threatens global moral order. The former spooks’ razor-sharp instincts and relentless spirit gives them the edge they need to chase down these wealthy and over the top jet setters who threaten countless innocent lives.

A WAY BACK IN is the recipient of three Indie Fest Awards Of Merit, for Short Film, Director, and Leading Performance by an Actress. The film is also an Official Selection of the 2010 Idyllwild International Festical of Cinema.
